The Gutenberg Shops
More than 20 years of pleasurable purchases and donations!
The Gutenberg Shops have a special way of raising donations. The well-stocked shops not only sell exclusive and educational gifts centred on the world of printing; since 1994 they have also proved reliable assistants in generating funds for the museum.
Approximately 35 volunteers from Mainz work at the shops. Out of pure idealism they give the Gutenberg Museum the most precious commodity they have: their free time.
Each sales price includes a clearly marked donation for the museum which the buyer can also expressly refuse to honour. The majority of visitors to the shops are luckily very happy to make a donation with their purchases and are motivated to do good for the museum. Why not be similarly inspired and treat yourself to one of our many shop items?
